COVID-19 Message from The Lydians

Dear Friends in Music,

We hope that you are safe and that you and your families are in good health.

With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), public health has become a top priority for all. Both in Trinidad and Tobago and around the world, each one of us must play a part in taking personal responsibility for securing the safety of those around us. We, the Lydian Singers and Steel, like most musical and cultural organizations all over the world have taken steps to ensure that what we do now and in the future will be positive action against the spread of the virus. Although for the time being Trinidad and Tobago has not experienced any community spread of the virus, public gatherings in the future remain uncertain and we want to ensure that we are taking all precautionary measures to avoid any risks. As such, all Lydian rehearsals have been suspended until further notice and our publicly scheduled performances will all be deferred until further announcements are made. We pray and wait in hope that the tides will turn in favour of us meeting again to once more sing and share our music, with each other and with you, our audience. Until then, we invite you to stay in touch with us on our Social Media channels for further updates and join us as we share the gift of music and reflect on 40 years of musical excellence.

Signed,

Garnet Allen, General Manager
